(Q) After I have paid, can I cancel my policy?
(A) Yes – our policies contain a 14-day “Refund Option” should the policy not meet your requirements. Return the full policy document by post to Leisurecare within 14 days from the date of issue, before any travel and if no claims are made, your insurance premium payment will be refunded less a £5 admin/time on cover fee per person. No refund of premium will be made after this period.

(Q) Must I travel with my full policy documents?
(A) Yes – this will provide you with all the necessary information and what to do in the event of a claim together with important contact details such as for 24hr medical assistance.

(Q) Does my policy offer a 24hr medical assistance service?
(A) Yes, full details are shown on your policy document.

(Q) Is Scuba Diving covered?
(A) Yes – cover is automatically covered for scuba diving activities, but not beyond your qualified depth but in any case no deeper than 40 metres. If you are hiring or taking your own equipment make sure that you have adequate insurance cover for the equipment itself.

(Q) As a couple or family can we travel independently?
(A) The Applicant and Spouse may travel independently of one another, but children must travel at all times with at least one parent.

(Q) Non UK Residents?
(A) Our policies only provide cover for persons who permanently reside in the UK and have done so for more than 5 years.

(Q) Does my policy cover UK travel?
(A) Providing the trip does not involve any element of business travel and that the trip involves a minimum of 5 nights pre-booked commercial accommodation.

(Q) Does my policy cover me for Business Travel?
(A) Yes – this policy covers for both pleasure and business trips if business option selected which do not involve any manual or hazadous activity.

(Q) Does my policy cover travel to Politically Disturbed countries?
(A) Providing the FCO are not advising against travel to that country, but you may wish to check with Leisurecare before booking, or refer to page 6 of the Policy Wording for a list of excluded countries..

(Q) Does my policy cover Unusual or Hazardous holiday activities?
(A) No, if you are unsure please contact us.

(Q) Does my policy cover Wintersports?
(A) By selecting the wintersports option you will pay an additional premium to cover you 'for' normal wintersports activities, including snowboarding, you can view the full details on the policy document. Off-piste is covered providing it is an official route and safe to ski or board.

(Q) Should I take an European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)?
(A) Yes when travelling to a EU destination, the document can be obtained free of charge from the Post Office or by contactingthe Dept. of Health on 0845 606 2030. giving your National Insurance Number your EHIC will normally be despatched within a couple of days. By taking and utilising your EHIC, you will be acting within your insurance terms and we will not deduct the excesses from medical claims where your claim is reduced due to its use or any other reciprocal health agreements.

(Q) Do I need to contact you before each trip?
(A) No – with our annual policies, you may travel as may times as you wish during the period of insurance, providing each trip is not more than 31 days any one trip?

(Q) What happens if a trip has a duration longer than 31days?
(A) Your insurance would be invalid for the whole period of that one trip.

(Q) What happens if my stay overseas is extended past the 31-day limit for reasons beyond my control, such as a flight delay?
(A) Providing the cause is beyond your control, the policy will extend cover until your return but no longer than a further 21 days.

(Q) Can I get a discount if I have an All Risks Household Contents policy?
(A) No - this option is no longer available.
